African Rainbow Minerals year-end event photography
Year-end event photography is another favourite for me, after all, it is the end of the year and everyone is excited about going on holiday.
There is nothing better than being part of an event for a long term client. I have been photographing events for African Rainbow Minerals for a few years now and I look forward to seeing the team and continuing our chats from the previous event.
I loved the table decor this year, the shweshwe material used for the table cloths was a great touch. The Soweto String Quartet was also great to watch – the facial expressions that they passed between each other as they played were really entertaining. The comedian, Alfred Adriaan, was also hilarious and had the guest and myself in stitches.
The organisers had set up a cool portrait area for when the guests arrived, I love seeing the outfits and the personalities of this great team.
This was also the first year-end event photography project I have photographed using the Canon’s EOS R cameras. As some of you might know, I have recently switched from my 5dMK IV cameras and EF lenses to the EOS R system and the amazing RF lenses. I am so, so, so impressed and know I made the right choice and will be uploading a post soon about my decision to make the move. A huge thank you to Canon South Africa and Roger Machin for the support and education provided to help me make this decision.
And lastly thank you so much Amanda and the team from African Rainbow Minerals for the privilege, as usual, the event was amazing!
If you need a year-end event photography quote, I would love to attend the event and take pictures while I am there :-)
