Food photography

My first memory of food photography was when I saw a Woolworths promotion called “Free to roam”, their free-range food story. It was printed on something close to newsprint, was a massive z-fold, but on steroids. It featured an image of a windmill in the Karoo and I was hooked. In fact, I still have it pinned to my wall.

Everywhere you look in the food section of supermarkets, the fast food outlets, product labels, modern recipe books – the food photography is so amazing it makes your taste buds go into overdrive.

Food photography should create a craving that convinces you that nothing should stand between you and that fantastic looking Seared Wild Striped Bass on Chive Whipped Potatoes with Truffle Vinaigrette and Shiitake Mushrooms.

Well, that’s where I come in. It all starts with a photograph the of the dish, you can almost taste the flavour and textures.

Let me create that #bestfirstimpression for you.

My food photography captures the essence of the restaurant and the dishes for menus, packaging, editorial use and cookbooks.

I am happy to customise your food shoot according to your needs and am happy to shoot on location at your restaurant or in my studio.

Please click on the food photography quote link and I will get back to you with the options and associated costs.

I look forward to receiving your email and hearing what you have in mind. I love meeting and interacting with new people so let’s see how we can make your Food & Restaurant interiors photography shoot happen.
